Einleitung: Bestandsgeschichte
Ein vorläufiges Verzeichnis des Bestandes wurde im Jahr 1952 von Direktor i.R. Wilhelm Lempp angefertigt.
In Verbindung mit der Neugliederung des Landeskirchlichen Archivs Stuttgart wurde der Bestand schließlich im Frühjahr 1973 von Albrecht v. Stackelberg verzeichnet (vgl.: LKA Stuttgart, Übersicht über die Bestände und lnventare der Allgemeinen Kirchenakten. Stuttgart 1972).
Zunächst erhielten die Bestände die Signaturen C 1 Nr. 1 bzw. C 1 Nr. 2 für das "Oberkonsistorium Heilbronn", gefolgt von "Oberlandesregierung und Evangelischer Kirchenrat Ellwangen" unter der Signatur C 1 Nr. 3.
lm Zuge der Neuorganisation der Beständestruktur wurden der vormalige Bestand C 1 Nr. 1 und der Bestand C 1 Nr. 2 zusammengeführt und erhielt nun die gemeinsame Signatur B 6. Der vormalige Bestand C 1 Nr. 3 wurde gänzlich abgetrennt und bekam die eigenständige Signatur B 7.
Zur Vereinfachung der Benutzung der Bestände wurden bei der Neuverzeichnung 1998 einzelne Verzeichnungseinheiten unterteilt bzw. deren Titelaufnahme mittels Enthält-Vermerken intensiver gestaltet sowie Altsignaturen und genauere Umfangsangaben zugegeben. Ansonsten wurde weitgehend die Titelaufnahme von 1973 beibehalten.

The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.
