Er erzählt außerdem, dass ihm und auch seinem Bruder Otto Talagas Ausstellung sehr gefallen habe und dass O.A. Schneider von den "Neuesten Nachrichten" eine sehr positive Kritik über die Ausstellung geschrieben habe. Des Weiteren erwähnt Sohn-Rethel, dass eine gerade beendete Tunisreise sehr schön war, er aber aufgrund einer schlimmen Furunkulose kaum arbeiten konnte. Ebenso spricht er von Geldsorgen seines Bruders und sich.
